Police say the motorcycle collided with the SUV during the turn, causing Eric to be ejected from the motorcycle. The impact proved fatal.
The crash remains under investigation as detectives continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the collision.
According to the police crash report, investigators interviewed two witnesses who were in the area at the time of the incident.
One witness told detectives they observed the motorcycle traveling at what they estimated to be approximately 100 miles per hour shortly before the collision.
A second witness reported seeing the motorcycle weaving through traffic and entering oncoming lanes before allegedly proceeding through a red traffic signal just prior to the crash. The witness stated that although they did not observe the actual impact, they saw the events immediately preceding it.
